-New Caledonian Gecko Care Guide-

-Food-
The staple of your gecko’s diet should be a well-balanced powdered gecko food. Pangea Reptile and Repashy Superfoods both provide popular diets for even your pickiest gecko(s). This powdered diet should be mixed with a chlorine free or reptile safe water until it reaches a ketchup or smoothie like consistency. Fresh food should always be available and should be changed whenever the consistency is dry or no longer appealing. With this diet, it is not required to feed your gecko(s) insects since these diets already include insect meal. Not every gecko will accept live insects, and this is normal. If you are comfortable with live bugs though, your gecko will not only grow faster as a result of this, but it is also enriching, and they can form a closer bond with you.
-Water-
Make sure you are always using chlorine free or reptile safe water when feeding and watering your reptiles. Your gecko(s) will usually be drinking most of their water from the drops off their foliage or from off the sides of their enclosure. It is always best to add a shallow water dish to the cage since there cannot always be constant condensation for them to get to.
~Feeder and Breeder Dubia Roach Care Guide~

Dubia Colony Care Guide
Housing:
-
You can successfully keep and breed dubia roaches in any type of smooth sided container.
-
You will need to gauge the size of the bin depending on the number of roaches you are keeping.
-
Dubia's need plenty of places to hide. You can use things found in your home like toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, leftover egg cartons, or egg crate flats if available.
-
Your bin does not need any kind of substrate. This will just make things more difficult to clean. The roaches create their own bedding called “frass” that the babies occasionally hide in.
Heating and Humidity:
-
Dubia roaches are very tolerant to room temperatures, but to breed, they require an ambient temperature of 90-95 F and a humidity of around 50-60%.
-
If you are keeping your dubias just for feeder purposes, you do not need to add heat.
-
Be careful when applying heat so you do not melt the container. You are still able to use plastic containers while adding a heat source safely.
-
Add a heating pad to the side for a simple and effective way to warm your breeders.
